Support the Spearfishing Women’s Team at Worlds

We’re Jess Price and Nancy Wendal, and we’re incredibly proud to share that we’ve officially qualified to represent Team USA at the 2026 Freshwater Spearfishing World Championship in New Zealand — but we need your help to make it there.

We’re training partners and close friends based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, brought together by our shared passion for the ocean and competitive spearfishing. Over the past three years, we’ve put in countless hours — from shore dives to pool sessions, from gear prep to mental conditioning — all to chase a dream that started small and now stretches across the globe. Nancy has even signed up for an ultra marathon to motivate her training to build up on endurance and cardio.

In 2024, we earned 1st place in the Women’s Team division at USA Nationals, securing our spot to represent the USA on the world stage. We also took our Wave 2 Molchanovs freediving certification together, preparing us physically and mentally for what lies ahead.

Now, as official members of the USA Women’s Spearfishing Team, we’re training harder than ever to be ready for the World Championships. But we can’t do it alone.

Why We’re Fundraising

Unlike many mainstream sports, competitive spearfishing is entirely self-funded. Each athlete is responsible for covering every aspect of their journey which costs approximately:

✈️ Flights: $1,500 per person

Accommodations: $1,000

Registration Fees: $250

Plus: car rental, meals and gear

Estimated Minimum Cost per Athlete: $2,000–$3,000
