HELP JESS AND HER CHILDREN IN THE FIGHT FOR HER LIFE

Jess is a devoted single mother that has solely cared for her children all their lives.

3 weeks ago, Jess suffered a life changing heart attack that left her without oxygen and has resulted in a severe brain injury. This devastating event, and it’s related medical complications; has left Jess fighting for her life in hospital.

This was sudden and unexpected, and has left her children, family and friends heartbroken. Family gathered by her bedside in ICU for over a week, when they were faced with the incredibly heartbreaking decision to turn off life support. Jess was surrounded by her family as they prepared to say their goodbyes.

Except Jess is a warrior and she had other plans!

Despite the machines being turned off, Jess continued to breathe on her own. She was moved to palliative care where she continued to be surrounded by family and continued to fight day after day.

Then 3 days after being taken off life support and moved to palliative care, Jess defied the odds again and miraculously woke up. Jess remains in palliative care and is still fighting every day, but she is here, and she is determined. The brain injury that Jess has suffered has resulted in many medical complications impacting her both physically and cognitively.

While Jess fights the hardest battle of her life, her family have come together to care and provide for her children. Her family are doing this whilst also trying to be by her bedside in this very stressful time.

There is a long and unknown road ahead. But what we do know is that the financial strain is mounting for Jess’s family while they are rallying around her.

We humbly request for anyone who has the means to help, even just a little.

All donations will be given to Jess’ Mum to help the family support Jess’s children, supplement income while they are unable to work at their normal capacity and also go towards facilitating rehabilitation, medication and to have the appropriate aids and modifications made to help bring Jess home.
