I'm Jess and that's Ezra, and we're creating a music video! My music is noisy bedroom pop, published under the name jess11 (website). I've been making music as jess11 for the past 4 years, and Ezra has been making films since they could walk (see their work for the Chicago Park District!).

We have known each other for almost our entire post-college lives, and this is our first collaboration with a budget - we want your help to make it the best it can be!

The song is about anger, becoming an adult, and the new phase of identity creation that it entails. It will be set in a few public locations and private DIY spaces. Ezra and I have been deeply involved with the Chicago DIY music and art scenes for many years and are paying tribute to those spaces :)

The money will be used to pay all of our collaborators!!! Ultimately, this fundraiser is for everyone that agreed to help us on little to no budget. I would love to pay them all for their time and materials -- all contributions will be in direct support of our little Chicago artist community.

Specifically, funds raised will pay for camera equipment and operation, meals for filming days, local venue rental, video editing, prop and costume design, and wardrobe design!
