Hello everyone, my name is Maria Rivas, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my sister Jesmin. Last night, 10/02/2025, my sister and her children lost their home due to a disastrous house fire that ruined all of their belongings. A normal night turned into a traumatic and overwhelming one that they will undoubtedly never be able to forget. I am immensely grateful to God that they are all safe and were not physically harmed. It’s extremely heartbreaking to witness the damage this unexpected situation has caused my sister. The place she called home, the place she has raised my nieces and nephews in, the place she created endless memories in, was gone in a matter of minutes. My sister is a hard working woman, an incredible mother, and is always there to help anyone who needs it. She is shattered by this unfortunate circumstance and is at a loss. I am writing this in hope that we can join together as community for them during these heartbreaking moments. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference. Hola a todos, me llamo María Rivas y estoy organizando esta recaudación de fondos para mi hermana Jesmin. Anoche, 10/02/2025, mi hermana y sus hijos perdieron su hogar debido a un desastroso incendio que destruyó todas sus pertenencias. Una noche normal se convirtió en una noche traumática y abrumadora que, sin duda, jamás podrán olvidar. Estoy inmensamente agradecida con Dios porque todos están a salvo y no sufrieron daños físicos. Es extremadamente desgarrador presenciar el daño que esta inesperada situación le ha causado a mi hermana. El lugar que llamaba hogar, donde crió a mis sobrinos y sobrinas, donde creó recuerdos infinitos, desapareció en cuestión de minutos. Mi hermana es una mujer trabajadora, una madre increíble y siempre está dispuesta a ayudar a quien lo necesite. Está destrozada por esta lamentable circunstancia y se siente perdida. Escribo esto con la esperanza de que podamos unirnos como comunidad para apoyarlos en estos momentos desgarradores. Cualquier donación, sin importar la cantidad, hará una gran diferencia.
