See our story here:
The Food for Thought Project was founded in 2015 by Elin Karlsson to help youths in poverty study at university in the island of Mindoro, Philippines. Food for Thought consists of Elin Karlsson and Marvil Iglesias.
We believe that everyone should have the right to higher education. This not only increases an individual’s chances of a better quality of life, but it also helps the intellectual and professional capital of their village and the island in general.
Five years ago, we started financing a young ambitious student named Jerson Ramos, he got into a college but could not afford the expenses. Now he has successfully graduated with a degree in Medical Technology. The next step for him is to take the Med Tech licensure exam in March 2025. Passing the exam would mean he will be certified to work as a Medical Technician, a dream he has worked hard for.
For that to happen, we are still in need of 1 500 euros for the cost of a review course, living expenses in Manila, and examination fees.
All donations go directly to the beneficiary. And we mean ALL.
