We’re raising funds to send Jersey’s men’s and women’s volleyball teams to the 2027 Island Games in the Faroe Islands — the sport’s first appearance at the Games since 2017. Our players have worked incredibly hard to earn this chance, and with your help we can get them there and aim to bring a trophy home.

Volleyball returns to the Island Games in 2027 after a 10‑year gap. This is a rare, exciting opportunity for our island’s athletes to compete on a major stage. Jersey volleyball has surged in the last few years, with over 80 active players locally, thriving clubs, and a growing junior pathway powered by dedicated volunteers.

Our senior squads have been on a fantastic run. Both the men’s and women’s representative teams have been very successful over the past three years, including winning the Hampshire League. This momentum reflects countless volunteer hours in coaching, officiating, and community sessions — the foundation of our recent results.

Competing off-island is expensive. Estimated costs exceed £2,000 per player, covering travel, accommodation, entry, and equipment. We’re determined to keep volleyball accessible. Without support, some players may be priced out of representing Jersey — despite earning their place.

Your donation reduces per‑player costs so selection is based on merit, not money. It funds quality preparation — training venues, strength and conditioning, and friendly fixtures. It also supports juniors and community development by freeing up club resources otherwise diverted to travel, keeping the sport’s growth sustainable with more coaches, safer kit, and better opportunities for women, men, and juniors.
