My Dad, Gerald “Jerry” Tomasso was in a head on collision in Pittsburgh on the morning of
Saturday 4/3/21 after losing control of his car during a medical emergency. He lost
consciousness behind the wheel & crossed
over the median into opposing traffic, hitting a woman head on. It’s miraculous that they both survived the crash. The woman was an EMT
on her way to work & she managed to get out of her car & render aid to my Dad until an
ambulance arrived. Her actions were brave & heroic. We are so grateful for her. I hope to be able to thank her someday. 

As is protocol by PennDot, he will be losing his driver’s license for 6 months as doctors
attempt to figure out what happened. This has resulted in a total loss of income for him.
His car was totaled & he has no medical
insurance.
