Jerry Clark is my uncle, and he’s always been someone who tries to get by with very little. Early this morning, his entire world changed when a house fire destroyed everything he owned. Jerry didn’t have homeowners or belongings insurance, and because he suffers from mental illness, he’s unable to work. The small amount of money he receives each month is just enough to cover basic bills and put food on the table, so this fire truly took away his entire livelihood.

Jerry is now facing the cold weather with nowhere to go and no way to replace his personal belongings or clothing. Our family is doing everything we can, but we need help to get him back on his feet. The funds raised will go directly toward finding Jerry a temporary home—whether it’s a mobile home or a travel trailer—and helping him replace the essentials he lost in the fire.
