Help Jerry Pay for Medical Bills
Donation protected
Dear Friends/Family,
We’re reaching out to ask for help for my Uncle Jerry! Most know him as Coach Jerry or Jerry Regan. Sadly, my Uncle Jerry has been hospitalized since the end of July due to a necrotizing infection throughout his right leg. Thankfully, he is out of imminent danger, however, has a long road to making a full recovery.
Jerry was rushed to Monmouth Medical Center with chills, shortness of breath, and extreme pain in his lungs and leg. After several tests, it was confirmed that the infection traveled through his blood stream and horrifically wreaked havoc on his body. He was placed on a ventilator to ease his breathing, but his heart, lungs, and kidneys were compromised, and he was close to organ failure.
The prompt actions from the hospital doctors and nursing staff rushing him into surgery to remove the infection saved his life. He’s had numerous surgeries within the last few weeks and will require a few more to fully eliminate the threat of any more growing contamination. Jerry is off the ventilator, but requires further treatments and eventually will go into a rehabilitation center for physical therapy on his incapacitated leg. We are still unsure if he will have the full use of his leg. Furthermore, he will be closely monitored for any more risks of any embolisms or pulmonary issues.
Unfortunately, due to his current/ongoing condition he is not able to work in his private business. He’s an architect and designs absolutely beautiful homes up and down the Jersey Shore and throughout the state. This of course is an imperative concern. We would greatly appreciate continued prayers and any donations to assist with the financial burdens from the unforeseeable hospital/rehabilitation stay and medical care costs required to keep him healthy and on the road to recovery. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
Update: Jerry is out of the hospital! As of August 30th, he is staying with his sister while he continues outpatient treatment. Even though things are looking up, he still has a long road of recovery ahead. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared, and who continue to do so. We are more than appreciative.
