Hello my name is Lauren Gilbert, I am Jerry Gilbert’s wife. We have a beautiful baby girl named Amelia. She is 2 years old and the best gift we could have ever received. My husband Jerry has been fighting Stage 4 cancer since 2022. He has stage 4 melanoma which is currently spreading like wildfire. He was also diagnosed with stage 4 peritoneal carcinomatosis, cancer of the appendix and colorectal cancer. On 7/4/25 he went in for an exploratory surgery which didn’t turn out the way we had prayed for. His oncology surgeon had to place a gastrostomy tube and he also received a tpn catheter for nutrition and hydration. He is currently receiving palliative care at home and as his wife I am his caretaker the rest of the time along with our daughter. Since Jerry’s condition worsened so bad he can no longer work or take care of Amelia. When they went in for surgery they could not remove any of the tumors or the 6 malignant bowel obstructions without doing more harm. Any help is much appreciated but never expected.
