Help Jerry Cluney Fix His Car And Regain Independence

Donation protected
My name is Nea Arthur ,and pictured is one of my housemates, Jerry Cluney. We've lived together in the California bay area for the last 9 years.

Several months ago, Jerry's 2009 Prius had the catalytic converter stolen for the second time in a year, and this time insurance would not cover it. Since then both of us have been housebound. Jerry is 78 years old, and this has completely cut him off from his community, his church, has made getting to doctor's appointments nearly impossible, and has made his chronic depression vastly worse. We have not been able to get groceries without costly delivery. As he's on a fixed income, we cannot cover it ourselves.

I've set the bare minimum goal at 2600 dollars, which should cover the absolute cheapest quote we got for the replacement of the Prius' catalytic converter. The final goal of 4000 also covers any change in quotes since when we got it, price increases due to tariffs, and 300 dollars for the installation of a shield to prevent the converter from being stolen again. If we cannot get the funds for the replacement converter, the funds plus a trade in of Jerry's car will be used to get a cheap used car.

Please donate what you can or send this fundraiser to friends. If we had any money at all to cover this I would not be asking. I really want Jerry to be able to go to church and socialize again, and being able to get groceries without delivery would be massive for both of our budgets.
