Help Jerry "Bubba" Young during recovery

In December 2020, my brother Bubba fell while hunting and suffered a back injury. He had paralysis in his right leg which has partially resolved but his best hope to fully regain use of his leg is to have back surgery again. His surgery is scheduled for the 2nd week of February, a L1-L2 laminectomy. Bubba has had several previous back surgeries, has had fusions, and if this upcoming surgery doesn't decompress the spinal cord and nerve affected, he is looking at an additional fusion. 

Bubba is a self employed truck driver and for others who are self employed, you understand the cost of health insurance and the financial burden bestowed upon you when you are unable to work. He will be off work for recovery about 8 weeks if everything goes well, longer if a fusion is necessary. Bubba will not have any income during this time, continued expenses to support his family and home, and additional expenses for doctor visits, co-pays, medication, and possibly physical therapy to regain strength in his leg. Climbing into his truck and even driving it will be challenging, and even now as he needs a cane to balance at times due to the numbness that still resides in his right leg.

Bubba has been burdened in the past recovering from back surgeries, suffering complications, and the stress of not knowing how he was going to support his family. With his upcoming surgery, I would like to ask everyone to help me raise enough money to cover his expenses and bills during his recovery so he can focus on getting better and know that his family is taken care of. He has been the best brother a sister could ask for, has always been there for me when I needed him, and would do anything for his family and friends. Please donate if you can, every dollar will help. If you prefer to help in other ways, they will need meals, groceries, and fuel for appointments, and of course, prayers for his fast, full recovery. Not only would you be helping him but also his son, Brody, and his fiance, Rachel.
