Help Jerry Brooks Recover from Tornado Loss
Donation protected
On May 7th, The Pavilion Estates (Kalamazoo, MI) were hit by a tornado and flipped my father's home with him inside. His home and truck were destroyed along with all of his prized possessions, but MOST importantly he is OKAY!
For those who know Jerry Brooks, he is being a real trooper and still cracking a million jokes to keep a truely devastating situation light. Any little bit you can contribute to helping him would be greatly appreciated!

My Dad's Story:
He says he had heard yelling and his neighbors taking off in their car. Moments later he heard the rumble of the tornado and ran to take shelter in his closet and began to pray for his safety. Next he knew his trailer was being lifted and the floor became the ceiling as he was tossed. This video shows where his home was (his truck WAS also next to it on the driveway) and where/how it landed when he found an opening to crawl out of. We went to the emergency room that night, and after a CAT scan and lots of xrays they said everything came back clear. He made it out with some bruised ribs/abrasions. It truly is a miracle that he is even alive and I'm just so glad that he is okay!!
He lost his home and truck along with most of the belongings inside. If you know my Dad, it was a very big deal that we found some of his guitars intact. He stayed in very high spirits as we recovered what we could and cheered when he found some of his favorite things. He also had a large sport card collection which was ruined.
If you are able to donate and share the GoFundMe for others to help, it would be greatly appreciated! Any little bit will help with housing, medical expenses, refurnishing, etc...
Here is a picture of finding two of his guitars. Music is his passion and on the way back to recover his things the next day all he wanted was at least one guitar to play.
