- Hi my name is Jerrod and we are from Garner NC. My wife and I have always dreamed of owning our own thrift store. We are auction buyers locally and have been for over a decade. We do this full time to support our family of 9. Our dream is to create a thrift store huge to help out people that may not be able to afford to buy higher end items, but you can get our finds for a fraction of the original cost! We enjoy helping out families with furniture finds, appliance, clothes and more! Business for us has been slow but recently started to pick back up! We love what we do, and I truly believe we were helping the community whenever we could. My kids are my world and they would help us collect items whenever my wife and I needed help. We teach them how to work hard and just want them to be great people when they get older! One of the worse days of my life just happened on October 26, 2024 with 90% of our inventory and our open utility trailer burned in a fire. Our unit was 600 sq ft of all types of items to sell locally with a 16 ft trailer full of merchandise also. To be completely honest as a man, husband and father to see what you have worked for burn up in a fire is something that honestly has almost broken me. It's so hard to keep a smile on my face for my kids and my wife. So hard to watch my wife be stressed out, as were trying to figure out how to come back but it's very hard. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Any type of donation would be very grateful as my wife and I have to almost start with nothing again. My biggest fear is letting my wife down and my kids. With our business locally, people know we’re known for saving people money on items you would usually pay double or more on. We always give out free items to people in need locally and have been doing this for years. Our biggest gift was a donation to help fund a church to fix their roof.
