Help Jerri and Rick Rebuild After Fire

In the early morning hours of February 28th, my mom, Jerri, and her boyfriend, Rick Bailey, woke up to the sound of fire alarms and the smell of smoke filling their home in Ninilchik. They had only moments to escape, grabbing nothing but the bare essentials as the fire quickly took over.

Now, they are left without a home, staying in a hotel for a few nights while they figure out what comes next. To make matters even more bittersweet, Rick had just retired from the North Slope two days before the fire—what should have been the start of a new chapter has turned into an unimaginable loss.

We are asking for support to help them get back on their feet—whether it’s covering temporary housing, replacing essentials, or simply easing the burden of starting over. Any donation, no matter how small, will mean the world to them as they navigate this difficult time.
