My name is Clarisa and I am raising funds to help support my dear friends Jerri and Mike while Mike is hospitalized. Mike was admitted to Mercy this week after complications with a new diabetic medication that also flared up his afib. What started out as an attempt to stabilize his blood sugars quickly turned into diabetic ketoacidosis. While being monitored at the hospital, Mike also had a heart attack. He had to have 2 stints put in. He may need bypass surgery, but his body is not strong enough to tell at this time. He is currently intubated and sedated. The doctors are expecting a long hospital stay. Jerri is a small business owner and Mike has limited sick leave.
