Hello, my name is Jerome, and I’m reaching out with one of the hardest requests I’ve ever had to make.
A few years ago, I was living a healthy life—exercising, eating well, and focusing on being a husband and father to my two amazing sons. Then, without warning, my life took a turn when I was diagnosed with FSGS (Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis), which led to Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and eventually End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).
Today, I am on dialysis just to stay alive, but my only real chance at living a full life again is through a kidney transplant.
This journey has been extremely difficult—not just physically, but also emotionally and financially. The costs of treatment, travel to appointments, medications (especially lifelong anti-rejection meds), and recovery are overwhelming. I will have to do the transplant in the Philippines were insurance will not cover anything, and it’s becoming harder to manage while also supporting my family.
Initially, we tried bringing my cousin here which will be my donor. But with the immigration right now, it became difficult to have my cousin come here.
I’m starting this fundraiser to ask for help so I can:
• Cover medical bills related to the transplant
• Afford the medications I’ll need for life
• Support travel and recovery expenses
• Continue being there for my wife and our two boys, who are my biggest reason to keep fighting
Every donation, no matter how small, brings me closer to getting the second chance at life I so desperately need. Even if you can’t give financially, simply sharing this fundraiser means the world to me and my family.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support, prayers, and kindness.
With gratitude,
Jerome
