We are raising funds to help save a very special horse named Jericho.
Jericho is an 8-year-old trained mustang owned by Jenna, who lovingly started him from the beginning. He is gentle, trustworthy, and incredibly kind—the kind of horse that makes people feel safe. Jericho has played an important role in Embrace Equine Ministry's programs, serving as a steady, patient horse for new riders and for people learning to ride for the first time. Through him, many lives have already been touched.
Over the past several days, Jericho has been battling severe sand colic. Despite ongoing care, his condition has worsened. He has not been eating or drinking for the last two days, aside from a small amount. The veterinarian has identified a possible partial displacement of his large colon, and at this point, everything that can be done locally has been done.
On Christmas Day, Jenna and Noah made the difficult decision to haul Jericho to Washington State University for emergency veterinary care. The hope is that specialists there can flush out the sand, help correct the displacement, and give Jericho a fighting chance to recover.
Jenna and Noah are young parents with a sweet girl named Remi and are just beginning to build their life together. The unexpected cost of emergency veterinary care is overwhelming, especially during the holidays. Jericho is supposed to be the horse Remi grows up on, so we’re hoping we can keep him in the family!
We are asking for help—any amount makes a difference. Our goal is to raise $3,500. Donations will go directly toward Jericho’s veterinary bills and ongoing treatment. Your support will help give this sweet horse the care he needs and the chance to continue impacting lives through the ministry he so faithfully serves.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and generosity during this critical time.
