Update: I was able to get my surgery with what has been raised so far but the remaining amount is what I need to help with my follow up appointments and such. Hi friends! My name is Jericho, some of you may know me by my zombie name Hilary. Either way, hi and thanks for taking the time to read and/or share this.

I am asking for your help and support right now because I have to have a partial hysterectomy on 6/24/24. It’s very difficult for me to ask for help but I have exhausted all of my other options. I have thankfully met my deductible with my insurance however I am still responsible for 20% until I meet my out of pocket deductible.

I have to have this surgery for a couple of reasons. In the last 6 months I have suddenly developed what my doctor thinks are uterine fibroids (benign tumors in the lining of my uterus). They have caused heavy bleeding during periods that have landed me in the hospital almost every month. I go through roughly 60+ regular tampons in one cycle. Which if you’ve ever dealt with a period is a lot and so expensive!

We have become concerned that the uterine fibroids are potentially cancerous because of how suddenly they developed when I’ve had no prior issues or indications in the past.

Because of this I have been missing quality time with family and friends, bonding time with my dogs and missing work. My overall quality of life has diminished significantly because I am out of commission for ant least 5 days and I’m also anemic. So I struggle with other health issues because of this.

I haven’t made the decision to have an organ removed lightly. I’ve dealt with a cancer scare in the past I don’t want to do that again.

This procedure would also be gender affirming for me as I am nonbinary, so this would be the cherry on top the sundae of not dying.

Anything you’re able to contribute will go directly to my medical bills and my recovery. I can and will be providing receipts for proof that your donations have not been misappropriated.

I have a plan in place to care for myself and my dogs during the recovery time of 2-6 weeks. I have an excellent support system. I just need to be able to get this surgery done.
