Hi! My name is Jerica and I am a single mother of three who recently gained full custody of all my kids. Financially and emotionally, I've been the only parent for them. The last year has been a lot of struggles, but in May of this year, I was able to afford moving out of my parents' house and getting a place for me and my girls. Since May, I ended up picking up a second job. I work full-time Mon-Fri at my first job and 3-5 days a week at my second job.

Recently, I was hospitalized for a severe kidney infection, and it caused a lot of absences at my jobs. Shortly after, I was laid off from my second job. Being a full-time mom and a full-time employee, I have had a lot of responsibilities. Those responsibilities and bills just kept piling up, and I am only one person. Granted, my parents and my kids' other grandparents have been a huge help with taking care of them!

For the past couple of months in this complex, my apartment's AC has been broken. It went out twice since moving here in May. From leaks to none of the appliances working, any problem you can imagine that can go wrong in an apartment has gone wrong. For my friends and family on social media, they have seen it from the beginning. I try to laugh and joke about the situation because if I don't, I'll just cry instead.

Yesterday, when I was leaving for a job interview for a new second job, I found out my car was stolen. But then, after some investigating with my apartment complex, it looked like it was towed, and I called my car's lienholder. Even though I missed only one payment, they repossessed my vehicle.

I DoorDash on the side, and I'm currently looking for a second job. I also have to drop off and pick up my girls from their daycares and school.

I hate asking for help and the fact that I have to make a GoFundMe. All I want is my car back. Regardless of being behind on an extravagant amount of bills, I know I'll be able to work my ass off, but I can't do that with one job and no car.
