My name is Amy and I’m asking for your help. My brother has very recently been diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic melanoma cancer. He is in for the fight of his life and this is not a situation that he and our family was financially prepared for. Here is his story:
Jeremy went to the Doctor (reluctantly) for a sore throat that persisted for a few weeks and didn’t seem to be getting better. The Doctor ordered a routine chest X-ray. The results would change his life forever. Within days he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma, which has spread to his brain, intestines and other organs. It has also mutated and gone into his muscle.
For the last two weeks, he has been hospitalized undergoing radiation. He has been in an immense amount of pain and the nausea has been unmanageable. Despite all of this, his Doctors are optimistic that they can still treat his cancer and he can live a fairly normal life moving forward.
We are in the process of devising a financial plan for him. It has become very evident that he is going to need all of the help he can get financially.
Unfortunately, we as a family have gotten a crash course in cancer treatment and how incredibly expensive it is!
Over the course of the next months and years, he will be in for the fight of his life. I pray that the ability to pay for his treatment and care for his family will not be another burden that he must carry.
Jeremy is an avid outdoorsman who loves life! He is always smiling and happy. He never meets a stranger. He is always so good, genuine and kind to everyone he meets. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Right now, he needs help! Please find it in your heart to donate. Anything helps!
