Hi everyone, my name is Alex Linebrink, and I'm heartbroken to share that my dear friend, Jeremy Still, suffered a serious paramotoring accident on September 10th.

Jeremy is an absolute pillar of our local skydiving and paramotoring community. He's that guy who has helped teach hundreds of us to fly, always with a smile and endless encouragement. He's also a devoted husband to his amazing wife, Nicki, and a loving father to two beautiful children. If you're lucky enough to call Jeremy a friend, you know he's the kind of guy who's got your back, no matter what.

What Happened:

Jeremy was flying low, trying to share some joy with friends on the ground by dropping a parachute toy soldier. In a split second, something went wrong. He found his paramotor veering left, he likely overcorrected to the right, and the next thing he knew, he was slammed into the ground, impacting his right side hard. It's unknown if his brakes became tangled in the risers or if there was any equipment malfunction.

Thankfully, his fellow pilots rushed to his side and called 911.

The Road to Recovery:

Jeremy's L1 vertebrae was shattered, leaving him with limited leg movement and no control of his feet. He underwent emergency surgery, and miraculously, he's already started rehab!

But the journey ahead is long and uncertain. He faces weeks, possibly months, of intensive rehab. If anyone can overcome this, it's Jeremy. He's determined to get back on his feet and back to the skies.

How You Can Help:

This accident has hit Jeremy and his family hard, both physically and financially. While he has health insurance, there are still mountains of unexpected costs and losses: co-pays, medical equipment, lost wages for both Jeremy and Nicki, travel expenses so Nicki can be by his side, and more.
