I am asking for your help to make my dream come true – a dream that started 4 years ago, and one that I wholeheartedly believe will bring immense joy to my community. This dream is called Jōzō…
Jōzō Coffee.
Jōzō is a unique and authentic Japanese coffee experience that I plan to introduce to San Diego, CA. Ultimately the goal is to open a brick-and-mortar coffee shop that makes you feel like you are in the heart of Kyoto, Japan. But for now, the first step is to bring this one-of-a-kind concept to the hospital that I currently work for in the form of a Mobile Coffee Trailer. I want to begin by serving my co-workers, patients and their families, EMS, law-enforcement and anyone else that finds themselves at this hospital. Sounds pretty neat, right?! Well, so is the story I am about to share with you:
This all started with joining the United States Marines, a traumatic accident, driving ambulances, working the night shift in one of San Diego’s busiest Emergency Departments and making lots and lots of coffee… a ton of coffee!

As I’m sure you all know, starting a business requires a lot of money. With your contributions, the Jōzō Team will be able to purchase:
A Mobile Coffee Trailer
A Commercial Espresso Machine
2 Commercial Coffee Grinders
Your contributions will enable us to begin the Jōzō Coffee story by first serving my hospital community. This will not only fulfill my personal dream but will bring immeasurable joy to my co-workers and hospital staff members - people who I have come to call my friends and family. Our hope is to raise enough money in the upcoming weeks to aim for an official opening of Jōzō by Winter of 2021!
