Help Jeremy & Rena - Recovery and Healing Fund

On December 21, 2021 Jeremy was involved in a horrible car accident in which he sustained multiple major injuries. He was extracted by the jaws of life and transported by ambulance to the hospital. His entire left side was crushed from the force of impact and he is lucky to be alive. He suffered a shattered pelvis, broken femur joint, broken fibula, broken tibula, internal bleeding, concussion with cuts, scrapes and bruises all over his body. He has endured several surgeries since arriving to the hospital which included a 6-hour surgery to repair and pin the pelvis and femur joint. His lower leg bones are set with pins and he has 38 staples. During recovery after the pelvis surgery, Jeremy suffered two minor heart attacks just days apart while in ICU. On New Years Eve, Jeremy underwent open heart surgery, a triple bypass, and is currently in ICU in recovery. Jeremy and Rena have a long road to recovery and face a month in the hospital and rehabilitation facility. They (along with their two children) are thankful he survived; however, they are facing a 12-week uphill recovery battle, financial strain, loss of work and future medical needs for many months and years to come. The Cophers are very fortunate to have an extraordinary family and community of support and love. They have been married for 26 years and have two children, Kaitlynn and Christian Copher. Jeremy has served his community in the Harris County Sheriffs Department for over 20 years. Let's help give back to one of our own who helps to serve and protect us and our families each day. He is a kind-hearted family man and the strength he has shown through this ordeal is amazing.
