In Memory of Jeremy Larsen
Donation protected
Jeremy Larsen has been a close friend, neighbor, and mentor to so many of us. On the evening of May 20th, he was involved in a motorbike accident, while out riding with his son Wyatt and best friend John, that has left him in a coma.
Jeremy is a beloved husband to Katie, father to Kylie and Wyatt, and friend to us and so many others in the Austin community. He has been a spark of light and fun in so very many lives. Jeremy is a fighter and has surpassed initial medical expectations. But he has extensive physical injuries, including a significant brain injury and is unresponsive to direct stimuli as of today, Sunday, May 28th.
Jeremy has been showing some signs of improvement, but he has an incredibly long road of recovery ahead of him. His family is embarking on a marathon as he hopefully regains consciousness, and then regains his memory and independence. For the foreseeable future the Larsen’s are fully dedicated to staying by Jeremy’s side - meeting with doctors and medical staff, talking to him and helping him to regain consciousness, and praying for his full recovery.
The Larsen family is dear to us and so very many. Jeremy is one of the most selfless and kind-hearted people we’ve ever met. He's always been more than happy to lend his time and heart to any in need. Every holiday season he's been a leading donator for Dell Children's Christmas Toy Drive to provide a present for each patient that is being treated.
Now it's our time as a community to be there for his family and him when they need it most. We ask for your help in providing financial assistance for the family. Katie is taking off work until Jeremy’s condition improves and becomes conscious, which leaves the family without an active income. Katie works as a flight attendant whose hub is based in NYC, so this prevents her from being able to even pick up a shift or two. Kylie is in college, and Wyatt is in high school and numerous sports. Any assistance you can provide in helping this amazing family during this incredibly difficult period is so greatly appreciated.
