Help Jeremy Mejia
Hello guys ! My name is Kaitlyn Hansen and I am a good friend of Jermey Mejia. I’m writing this in one of the most difficult times for fellow Queens residents. Hurricane Ida came and went, leaving one of our dearest friends without any posessions and sadly, his four-legged friend, Onyx. Onyx tragically lost his short life in the flood following Hurricane Ida’s downpour. For those of you who don’t know Jeremy, he is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was enlisted for 4 years and completed 3 international tours. As some of you may know, our country doesn’t have a supportive system for the people who risk their lives for this country. So, now more than ever, we are asking our friends, loved ones and all others for help in giving back. Anyone who knows Jeremy, knows how much his dogs mean to him and if you’ve ever had a pet, you can imagine what he’s going through. Unfortunately, not only did he lose Onyx, but he lost ALL of his possessions when the flood water rose to the ceiling of his apartment; Leaving Jeremy with only the clothes he had on his back and his other puppy, Luna. It doesnt end there. Jeremy has suffered severe losses this year alone, that none of us can possibly begin to imagine. He lost his oldest dog at the beginning of the year, his grandmother last month, as well as a motor cycle accident in July. For such a kind and caring person, Jeremy has lost more than enough in just a couple months. Please help us, as we try to help this man rebuild his life from scratch. The money will go towards new clothes, furniture , dog food, toys and any extra help that he could use with his medical bills. Any and all donations are appreciated. Our hearts go out to all who are trying to rebuild during this time.
