Help Jeremy Lee fight PMP appendix cancer
Donation protected
Friends, Jeremy Lee is up against the hardest fight of his life and needs your help.
Last December, we received the devastating news that Jeremy has stage IV appendiceal cancer (acpmp). Appendix cancer is very rare and aggressive. So while processing this life-changing news, we were desperate to find the best care for Jeremy. We consulted and met with several specialists (Cancer Treatment Center of America, Emory Hospital in Georgia and MD Anderson in Houston) and received the heartbreaking news that Jeremy's cancer had metastasized and spread to his abdomen. Therefore, he does not currently qualify for an aggressive surgery called HIPEC. A surgical procedure where the tumors are removed and a heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy is delivered into the abdomen. The doctors told us that chemotherapy was his only option and hope for a miracle.
Jeremy started chemotherapy in February and will continue to receive treatment for the next six months. Jeremy has a phenomenal team of doctors at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, specializing in appendiceal cancer. He is responding well to chemotherapy and continues to have an infectious positive attitude. We are confident that the chemotherapy will be effective, and he will eventually qualify for either surgery, immunotherapy or a variety of clinical trials.
Those who know Jeremy know that he lives with heart, is selfless, generous, intelligent, authentic, humble, hard-working, honest, and compassionate. Jeremy is a proud father of four, grandfather, an adoring husband, loving son and shares an incredible bond with his brother. Jeremy cherishes his family; family means everything to him and he to them.
The outpouring of love, emotional support and prayers from family and friends has been overwhelming. While the past couple of months has been challenging, emotional, and scary, we continue to experience miracles throughout this journey and remain positive that Jeremy will beat this.
It is difficult for Jeremy to reach out for help. He would prefer to be the one offering support versus asking for it. Jeremy has not worked since the diagnosis, and we know we are up against a long and expensive journey. Your donations will help with past and future expenses. If you are not in a position to donate, please continue to keep Jeremy and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
With love and gratitude,
Jeremy and Jenna Lee
