On July 4th, Jeremy, a devoted father of four, demonstrated unparalleled bravery when he risked his life to save a nine-year-old girl. In doing so, Jeremy sustained severe injuries that have left him with life-altering challenges. His hands, legs, face, and torso bear the scars of burns that have forever changed his ability to work, care for his children, and live independently. Jeremy now faces a difficult road ahead. The burns have taken a toll on his hearing and sight, and he requires a prosthetic hand, as well as partial fingers, to regain some of the independence he’s lost. Simple tasks, like grooming himself, now require assistance, and the financial burden of these medical needs is overwhelming.
