Hi, my name is Gabriella Senior, and I’m reaching out to ask for help for my husband, Jeremy Senior, and our family during an incredibly difficult and uncertain time.
Jeremy has been very sick for the 5 weeks and has been unable to work while we’ve been going back and forth between doctors and hospitals trying to figure out what is happening to his health. Unfortunately, instead of getting better, he has been deteriorating quickly. He has unintentionally lost 22 pounds, has been experiencing several other concerning symptoms, and has been diagnosed with hypocalcemia (low calcium) and inflammation of his large intestine. His doctors are also concerned about possible malabsorption as well as some possible underlying bowel disease causing these symptoms.
His health problems have already had a serious impact on his body. His teeth have been breaking, and earlier this year he suffered bone injuries that may be related to his calcium deficiency. Muscle weakness. Chronic fatigue. Body pain. We are still searching for answers and, most importantly, trying to find out what is causing all of this.
Jeremy was recently referred to a second gastroenterologist, who believes his condition needs to be investigated urgently. His colonoscopy is scheduled for August 27th, which was the doctor's soonest available appointment. The estimated base cost of the procedure is around $2,000, and that does not include the possibility of biopsies, an endoscopy, or any additional procedures or testing the doctor may recommend depending on the severity of what he finds during the procedure.
We are hoping to raise $5,000 to help cover his upcoming medical expenses, additional testing and procedures, and the bills that have accumulated while he has been unable to work.
Jeremy is the owner and operator of Perfect Fit Plumbing LLC, and he is the main provider for our family. Being unable to work for the past month has put us in an extremely difficult financial position. We do not have health insurance, so we have been paying for his medical care completely out of pocket while also trying to keep up with our everyday expenses. We have now fallen behind on necessities.
We are a family of six with our four children, and even our beloved dog and giant tortoise are part of our little family. ❤️
Anyone who knows Jeremy knows that he is one of the most genuine, kind, and caring people you could ever meet. He works hard to provide for his family and has always been the type of person to help someone else whenever he can, without expecting anything in return. He will give someone the shirt off his back and would never expect anything in return. It is incredibly difficult for us to be in a position where we are the ones asking for help, but right now, we truly need it.
Our biggest hope is simply to get Jeremy the medical care he needs, find answers, and give him the opportunity to recover without the added fear of losing our home or falling even further behind financially.
If you are able to donate, any amount—no matter how small—would mean more to our family than we can put into words. If you aren't able to donate, sharing our fundraiser with others would help us tremendously.
Thank you for taking the time to read Jeremy's story, for caring about our family, and for helping us through this incredibly difficult chapter. We are so grateful for every prayer, kind message, donation, and share. ❤️
