Help Jeremy Get the Surgery He Needs to Keep Serving Others
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Jeremy Carter. Before I share my prayer for help, I’d like to tell you a little about myself.
I'm a loving husband to my amazing wife, Jazmin Carter, and a proud father to two boys, Seth and Brendan, as well as a stepfather to four wonderful kids—Brenda, Nancy, Ricky, and Kim. I’m also a big brother to my brother Matthew and sister Nichole.
Five years ago, my family and I moved to Temexico after the passing of my wife’s father. Her mother needed help managing the apartment complex they built together. Since then, my wife and I have taken on all maintenance and repairs, while also dedicating ourselves to serving our community in any way we can.
Together, we teach English to all ages, volunteer at local orphanages, grow crops to help feed others, and offer shelter, food, and clothing to families in need. Over the last five years, we’ve been blessed to support over 20 families with housing, meals, and a safe place to rest. It's been our mission and honor to serve others, and we plan to continue for as long as we can.
But now… I’m the one who needs help.
For years, I’ve been struggling with severe back pain—pain so intense that I can’t sit, stand, or lay down for more than 30 minutes at a time. Even something as small as sneezing can leave me unable to move. At 46, I thought it was just age, until I became bedridden for three days. That’s when I knew something was seriously wrong.
After seeing a doctor, I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease (from my sacrum up to L5-S1), scoliosis, urinary incontinence, and osteoarthritis. Two doctors have both recommended urgent spinal fusion and disc replacement surgery, along with ongoing therapy and pain management. Without treatment, they estimate I’ll be in a wheelchair within two years.
I’m reaching out to ask for your help in raising funds for the surgery and treatment I need. Anything you can give—whether it's a donation or simply sharing this campaign—would mean the world to me and my family. Your support will not only help me walk without pain again, but also continue to serve this community I love so deeply.
Thank you for reading my story, and thank you for your prayers, kindness, and generosity.
With love and gratitude,
Jeremy Carter
