Help Jeremy Focus on Healing, Not Bills
Donation protected
A few months ago Jeremy began getting migraines that affected his vision. We attributed it to having a newborn adding stress and cutting sleep. After one of these migraines his vision did not fully come back. He underwent testing and what came back was concerning enough that he was told to pack a bag and go to the emergency room. Jeremy underwent numerous MRIs and CT scans which led to a biopsy of his kidney and the discovery of a mass in his occipital lobe. The doctors began care by sending Jeremy for brain surgery to remove the tumor and then he will begin treatment for clear cell Renal cell carcinoma.
This fundraiser is aiming to assist Jeremy and our family with funding the necessary medical care as well as basic necessities as we do not know what the future will hold in store. Jeremy is the most amazing daddy to baby Harper and I could not imagine a better step-dad for Kellan and Cecilia. We are just looking to be able to pay the bills so Jeremy can focus on getting better and not worry himself with how they will be paid. I NEVER imagined that we would be in this very humbling and challenging position but we are so grateful for the help and support we have already begun to receive. We will be continuing to update as we get news.
UPDATE 7/18
Thanks to Dr Ciello and his wonderful team Jeremy’s surgery was a success! This is only the first step, the tumor was removed but radiation will be needed. Jeremy’s vision is currently worse than when he went in but not a total loss and while it will never be back completely, it could improve slightly as he recovers. There was talk of working with an occupational therapist to help adapt to this change. The relief I felt when I got to see him after surgery is indescribable. He is currently in the Neuro Critical Care Unit and will have to be in the hospital for several more days as well as on seizure watch for the next week.
