Our dear friend, Jeremy Cayabyab, is only 27 years old from Pampanga, Philippines. At such a young age, he has already endured more pain and suffering than most of us could ever imagine. What started out as stomach pain has turned into a long, heartbreaking battle for his life. One that has left him fighting through multiple surgeries, countless complications, and months in the hospital.

Jeremy’s ordeal began when he was rushed to the hospital with severe stomach pain, vomiting, and fever. Doctors diagnosed him with appendicitis, and he had to undergo an emergency surgery to remove his appendix. But during the operation, doctors also discovered a mass on his intestines. Thankfully, the biopsy showed it wasn’t cancerous, but it was just the beginning of a long and painful journey.

After surgery, Jeremy was diagnosed with diverticulitis and had to live with a colostomy bag. He spent days in the ICU, weeks in the hospital, and at one point even went into shock and needed dialysis to survive. Despite everything, Jeremy tried to stay strong and hold on to hope.

After months of recovery, he bravely underwent another surgery to reverse the colostomy. But once again, complications arose. Instead of regaining normal function, he ended up with an ileostomy bag. This was a heavy blow, but Jeremy never gave up.

Just as he was slowly adjusting, life dealt him another setback. Three months later, he was rushed back to the hospital with unbearable stomach pain and nonstop vomiting. Tests revealed another blockage in his intestines caused by scar tissue, which also caused his ileostomy bag to stop working. Doctors tried IV medications, but nothing has worked. Now, Jeremy urgently needs another major surgery to remove the blockage and give him a real chance at recovery.

Through all of this, Jeremy has shown incredible strength and courage. But behind his brave face, the reality is heartbreaking. Endless hospital bills, long recoveries, and the fear of what comes next. His family has already exhausted so much emotionally and financially, yet the costs of another surgery and continued care are overwhelming.
