Help Jeremy fight back against Leukemia

Story

We are raising funds to offset our brother, Jeremy Schumacher's expenses for a bone marrow transplant. In Sept. 2020 Jeremy was admitted to the hospital due to severe swelling and rash on his legs and feet. After undergoing a bone marrow biopsy he was told he had Chronic Eosinophilic Leukemia (CEL) which is a very rare type of luekemia with very few known cases. Jeremy was put on a chemo type pill which seemed to work very well, but just short of a year on this treatment all of his symptoms came back. After struggling to get it under control the doctors sent Jeremy to MD Anderson cancer and research center in Houston Texas, in early September 2021. After making the trip to Houston the doctors decided that a bone marrow transplant was Jeremy's best option. Since his CEL Leukemia is so rare Jeremy was happy to donate extra blood and bone marrow for research. Jeremy was sent home to prepare for the transplant. As of now Jeremy is on his 3rd week of chemo infusions. Jeremy is set to return to Houston in November to visit with the doctors and transplant team to set up his transplant. The transplant will entail 100 days spent in Houston, 1 month spent in hospital and 2 months spent in housing close to the hospital. Bone marrow transplants are not without risks but it's the best opportunity for a cure and a long life for our brother. Thanks for reading our story and please consider donating to offset the medical, travel and housing expenses of Jeremy's bone marrow transplant. Anything you can contribute will help Jeremy on his path to becoming the CANCER ASS KICKER that we all know he will be!
