Help in Jeremiah’s battle with Cancer

We are the friends and family of Jeremiah Hayes, who was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). AML is a rare form of cancer that affects the blood. Jeremiah was admitted to the hospital on Monday, April 15th and began chemotherapy on Wednesday, April 17th. Due to the severity of AML, all chemo treatments have to been done as an inpatient.

Many of you know Jeremiah from his childhood years growing up in Assonet, MA. Some may remember him from his HS years in California or the couple years he attended art school in Illinois. Most of you know Jeremiah from Galveston, Texas, where he made his home almost 25 years ago. Jeremiah lives in Galveston with his two children, Zachary and Maddie. Jeremiah worked diligently over the years to open his own company designing and building swimming pools. Jeremiah has always lived and continues to live his life for his children, parents, sisters and many nieces and nephews. He is always willing to help family, friends and strangers alike.

Jeremiah is currently receiving treatment at UTMB in Galveston. Because he works for himself and the company is small, he is fighting this battle without medical insurance. The anticipated cost of this treatment will far exceed his resources to cover the medical expenses. Jeremiah is fighting this battle with his family by his side. We are all working diligently to obtain resources to mitigate the expenses.
