My name is Stephanie Byron, and I am creating this fundraiser for my husband, Jeremiah.
Earlier this year, Jeremiah noticed a swollen lymph node beneath his right arm. At first, we hoped it was something minor, but given Jeremiah's history as a pediatric cancer survivor, we knew it was important to take it seriously.
After meeting with his doctor and undergoing testing, the initial blood work showed no signs of cancer. While that brought some relief, the lymph node continued to cause concern. Over the following weeks, the situation worsened significantly.
Shortly after returning from a trip to Tennessee, Jeremiah's condition took a turn for the worse. Doctors determined that surgery was necessary to remove the lymph node. He underwent surgery and is currently recovering from an open surgical wound that requires daily packing and ongoing medical care while the tissue heals.
We were hopeful the surgery would provide answers and peace of mind. Instead, the pathology results brought difficult news.
The lymph node tested positive for cancer.
Jeremiah has been diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma.
We are now entering a new season filled with oncology appointments, additional testing, treatment planning, and many unknowns. While we are grateful to finally have answers, we know there is a challenging road ahead.
Jeremiah is self-employed and provides for our family through his podcasting and media work. As we begin navigating cancer treatment, we anticipate significant financial strain from medical bills, travel to specialists, prescription costs, and potential lost income during treatment and recovery.
Asking for help is not easy for our family. However, many friends have already asked how they can support us, and this fundraiser is one practical way to do so.
The goal of this fundraiser is to raise funds to help offset:
• Medical expenses and treatment costs
• Travel expenses for specialist appointments
• Prescription medications
• Lost income during treatment and recovery
• Other unexpected expenses that arise throughout Jeremiah's cancer journey
Most importantly, we ask for your prayers.
The coming months will bring many appointments, decisions, and challenges, but we are grateful that we do not have to face them alone. Your support—whether through prayer, sharing this fundraiser, or making a donation—means more to our family than words can express.
Through all of this, we are placing our trust in God. While we do not yet know exactly what the future holds, we know that He walks with us through every step of it. We are praying for wisdom for Jeremiah's medical team, strength for our family, successful treatment, and peace in the midst of uncertainty.
Thank you for standing with us during this difficult season.
With gratitude,
Stephanie Byron and Family
