Jeremiah is my best friend and the father to one of my children, but he’s also been a father figure to my other kids. Our relationship is strong, and I’ve seen firsthand how much he cares for his family and how hard he’s worked to overcome the challenges life has thrown his way. For the past three years, Jeremiah has been trying to be present in his daughter’s life, but it’s been a constant struggle financially. He couldn’t afford regular visits, and reliable transportation to the county where visitations were required was out of reach. This past year, he was injured and unable to work, making things even more difficult.
Now, Jeremiah is facing a lawsuit for attorney fees and needs additional support to secure a new attorney. The legal system hasn’t made it easy for him, and as a father, he hasn’t received the same support that mothers often do. The money raised will go directly toward securing an attorney, covering legal fees, and helping Jeremiah get back on his feet. He’s been working hard to turn his life around since being released from prison in 2022—he’s stayed sober, stepped up to raise children who lost their father, and is a loving dad to a 1.5-year-old girl. He recently had the opportunity to get his CDL, but he’s still playing catch up and can’t seem to get ahead enough to afford the legal help he needs.
Jeremiah’s story is one of perseverance and hope. He’s done so much to better himself and be a positive force in his children’s lives, but he needs help to keep moving forward. Any support you can give will help him fight for his rights in court, give him a chance to be heard, and help him build a better future for himself and his children. Please consider supporting Jeremiah on this journey—your kindness can make all the difference.
