Help Jerelyn Estrada Continue Her Courageous Journey

At just 18 years old, Jerelyn Estrada has spent her entire life fighting a battle most people have never heard of.

Jerelyn lives with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease Type 4K (CMT4K), an extremely rare genetic neurological disorder that progressively damages the nerves connecting the brain and spinal cord to the muscles. As these nerves deteriorate, the muscles gradually weaken and lose their ability to function properly.

For Jerelyn, this means that everyday activities that many of us take for granted have become increasingly difficult. Walking, maintaining balance, moving her arms and hands, and performing routine tasks require tremendous effort. As the disease progresses, her physical limitations continue to increase, making ongoing medical care, therapies, and support essential to maintaining her quality of life.

There is currently no cure for CMT4K. Treatment focuses on managing symptoms, slowing complications, and helping patients maintain as much independence, comfort, and dignity as possible.

Despite the challenges she faces every day, Jerelyn continues to inspire everyone around her with her strength, resilience, and beautiful spirit. She has surpassed many expectations and continues to face each day with courage, determination, and hope.

Today, we are asking for your help.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 to support Jerelyn’s medical and daily care needs and, most importantly, to give her mother the ability to spend more time caring for her daughter.

Jerelyn is being raised by her mother, a single mother who works as a housekeeper. For years, she has carried the enormous responsibility of being both the family’s sole provider and Jerelyn’s primary caregiver. While working long hours to support their household, she has also dedicated herself to taking Jerelyn to medical appointments, therapies, and treatments, while providing the daily care and support her daughter needs.

As Jerelyn’s condition continues to progress, balancing full-time work with the increasing demands of caregiving has become incredibly difficult. Every hour spent working is an hour she cannot spend accompanying Jerelyn to therapies, attending doctor’s appointments, helping with her daily needs, or simply being by her side.

The funds raised will help cover:

• Physical and occupational therapies

• Medical appointments and specialized care

• Transportation to doctors and treatment centers

• Medical equipment and mobility assistance needs

• Daily living and caregiving expenses

• Financial support that will allow Jerelyn’s mother to reduce her work hours and focus more on her daughter’s care and well-being
