Jen's Battle to Victory
I am all about giving back to others and helping those who are in need and facing a tough time in life. I have decided that its time to reach out and help my cousin Jen.
Jen was not feeling well for quite some time and after multiple Dr's office visits and ER visits she was finally diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer on July 23rd, 2014 at HMC. She started her first chemotherapy treatment soon after on August 6th, 2014. November of 2015 HMC gave Jen the news "there was no more treatments to offer." Jen was not about to throw in the towel and give up so she and her family looked into other facilities that would be willing to help her beat this evil disease. January of 2016 she visited Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia and they were willing to accept her into one of their clinical trials. She started the clinical trial in April of 2016 at Fox Chase.
Jen has faced mulitple surgeries, multiple complications, lots of pain and suffering, and many many setbacks since her original diagnosis. Since her diagnosis she continued to hold a fulltime job and even worked Overtime many weeks.
With some recent medical complications related to the cancer she is unable to return to work at this time and thats why I have decided to step up and set up this fund for her.
Jen makes multiple trips to Philadelphia every month. One week for blood transfusions and the other 3 weeks for her chemo. treatments.
Those of you who know Jen know how stubborn she is and how much of a fighter she is. If it wasnt for her strong will power and determination to beat this evil disease, and the many prayers and support from family and friends Jen wouldnt be with us today. She continues to fight the battle today even after many setbacks she continues the fight.
Lets all reach out and make a contribution to her fund to help defer gas costs, travel costs, and medical bills while she is unable to work. Any little bit helps. Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers for Jen.
