Help Jenny lay her parents to rest

I am writing asking for help for an old friend of mine.

This year has been a testament in patience, resilience, understanding and working as a collective. In the undercurrent of these struggles some people are forced to manage even more. So we rally together. It’s the only way.

I’m putting a shout out for Jenny. Let the rally begin please! Very suddenly her world got flipped upside down and she needs our support now. Both of her parents unexpectedly passed June 29, her brothers birthday. He arrived for his birthday dinner to find them both. I can’t even begin to imagine this heartbreaking experience.

Jenny relocated to Calgary to care for her partners dying Grandmother. They have yet to find work, as she is their primary focus. However, now we need to get her home so she can begin to unravel the semantics, be with her brother and lay her parents to rest.

Over the last 16 years, Jennifer has served and worked with people living with addictions and mental health barriers. She is an advocate, a voice and the most non judgmental, empathetic soul. She has had the honour of working with WISH, The Vivian, numerous shelters, warming centres, and did years of outreach work in the MAP van. This speaks volumes to her character and values. Jenny always gives when she can, she also has a hard time receiving help, but she needs us now.

The money raised will go towards her getting home to Parksville, funeral costs, lawyer costs and the much needed counselling for her and her brother.
