Support Her Treatment At MD Anderson Cancer Care

Hi, I'm Jenny = ) A month after my 55th birthday my cat Zeus bit me, really hard ! Something told me years ago "if this ever comes up, don't just blow it off like it'll be fine, get the rabies vaccine!" So I did !

A week later I started having pains around my heart, so I went back to the ER. Many tests and a ct scan later the Dr told me my iliac artery is occluded at its origin and "now for the bad news" there is a mass on my pancreas and shadows on a few lymph nodes around it.Whoa!

I lost my Mom to pancreatic cancer several years ago, it was devastating ! She didn't even get the chance to fight !

I have a son and my son has a son. They already lost their Gma to pancreatic cancer, I don't want them to have to go through that nightmare again

I have the chance to fight (for both of us) and I absolutely have to be strong enough to beat this.

The mass on my pancreas is too large to remove because of it's location, so I am now going to the Cancer Center every 2 weeks for chemotherapy (including a chemo pump that I take home and to work with me for 48 hours) with the hope of shrinking the mass enough to surgically remove it. And then probably more chemotherapy and possibly radiation treatment as well

I keep reminding myself . .

as long as it's working, it's worth it !

I didn't expect all the side effects from the chemo,. So many of them! And some are really weird; like how I can no longer drink anything even remotely cold or eat anything cold for that matter.

It doesn't stop there. . If I touch anything cold it feels like I have frostbite. I can't breath in cold air either, literally cannot breath it in and if I try it makes my eyes water and then it hurts so bad like frostbite in my eyeballs !

So . . I've lost a lot of time at work, and my bills are all at least a couple months behind.

Plus all the new expenses . . It's a lot and it just keeps pilling up daily

Your help, in any way, will be truly and deeply appreciated !

If all you can do is say a prayer or simply send good vibes out into the universe,. . that could change the world for me
