Friends, family, and people we haven't met, this is my sister Jenny. She has received a double lung transplant and has survived! But her road to recovery is far from over and far from being easy!!

"I went to the hospital for pneumonia in March 2024 and was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the young age of 52, caused by COVID-19. I left the hospital on oxygen. I was already end stage. I was in ICU for 43 days, now I'm in a rehabilitation hospital in Westerville. Then I have to go back to OSU for one month. I was on life support for 24 hours because I went into cardiac arrest during surgery, and the anesthesia doctor came out to ask everyone if they should continue working. I kept going into respiratory failure even after the transplant. By far the most traumatizing experience in my life. Thank you for listening."

Those are words from Jenny. Her husband Marty has taken a significant amount of time off of work and bills are behind and will continue to pile on. We want to use this money for the time she will have to stay in rehab. For what insurance doesn't cover! Jenny is a miracle! From 2 failed attempts prior it has caused a lot of stress on her heart and mental state. We prayed and prayed and prayers were answered and we thank the donors for these lungs and donors everywhere!! We thank the courageous doctors and medical staff that were able to give her one more day to live. Everyday is a battle for her to live. Please share and keep Jenny in your thoughts and prayers. She is a beautiful soul and so giving and her spirit is full of joy!
