Hi everyone,

My name is Adele Marsden, and I live on King Street, next door to a woman named Jenny Craven. Sadly, Jenny passed away recently in heartbreaking and unexpected circumstances. She leaves behind three young children, including her eldest daughter,

Annalise, who is only 16 years old.

No child should have to carry the burden of organising their parent’s funeral – let alone at just sixteen. But that’s exactly what Annalise is trying to do. She’s desperately looking for ways to cover the funeral costs, and it’s breaking our hearts to see her trying to take on so much when she should be allowed to grieve in peace.

There’s no money for cars, flowers, or even the basics to give Jenny the send-off she deserves. It’s looking like it may have to be a simple, stripped-back funeral – not because her children don’t care, but because they simply can’t afford anything more.

Jenny and I didn’t always see eye to eye – like many neighbours, we had our ups and downs. But we also had our laughs. We shared moments. We had history. And no matter what, nobody deserves to go like this – and no child should have to fight alone to say goodbye to their mum.

So, I’ve set up this fundraiser on behalf of Jenny’s children – especially Annalise – to help take the pressure off them at this devastating time. Every penny raised will go directly towards funeral costs and giving Jenny the respectful farewell she deserves. Any extra funds will go to help support the children in the coming weeks as they begin to navigate life without their mum.
