Hi, my name is Niki and I’m oganizing this fundraiser for my dear friend and workmate, Jenny Alpa

Jenny’s life was all but broken when a devastating fire claimed the life of her daughter Nezlah, a beautiful ,thirty year old , early childhood teacher with a dream of starting her own school. Tragically the fire destroyed her home in Port Moresby. Jenny’s son, Jeremiah (24), also lived in the home, already living with a disability, Miah narrowly escaped the fire…but he’s struggling. He wants to stay on the razed, recently cleared by Family and community, Land. They dream to rebuild.

Jenny is one of the strongest women I know and I know a lot of Strong women.. As a single mom, she worked here in Australia to build her home from nothing. It was her safe haven, filled with love, hope, and dreams for the future. Now, she has lost everything—her home, her belongings, and her beloved daughter. She is left with a mortgage, no home, and unimaginable grief.

Jenny is determined to rebuild her life and honor Nezlah’s memory. This fundraiser will help her get back on her feet and support her family during this incredibly difficult time...that would have broken most.

How Your Support Will Help/Your donations will go toward:

Rebuilding Jenny’s home to give her and Miah a safe place to live.

It will facilitate Miah’s healing which is going to entail more medical expenses and care. Helping Jenny honor Nezlah’s dream of supporting education in memory of her daughter.
