My best friend of 35 years , Jennifer Reulbach was in a 3 car pile up accident on Wednesday morning April 14th , 2021 . Her beautiful 8 year old daughter Jolena was also a passenger , they were on the way to school that morning .
Another car ran a red light and unexpectedly Jennifer's car crashed and was on its side with two cars along side and underneath . Due to this unexpected tragic event Jennifer is now hospitalized at Strong Memorial hospital in the ICU in guarded condition. She suffered from many severe injuries including a punctured liver , bleeding on the brain , a broken eye socket and fractures in her spine which has now led to her needing surgery to have a rod placed in her back .
Jolena, luckily has stitches in her lip and a concussion .
A little backstory about Jennifer .
I've been best friends with her since we were 5 years old. She's been through literally everything with me . Every life event , every injury , surgery , illness , breakup ,etc. we've laughed , we've cried and everything in between that best friends do and I know her to be a loyal , loving and hardworking woman .
Jennifer worked at CVS pharmacy for over 20 years and she went back to school as a single mom. She bought her own house , car and raises her daughter alone .
She finally decided to take a leap of faith and leave her 20 year career to pursue a better job with another company to make more money to support her and her daughter and have a more flexible schedule .
Now that this accident has put a huge damper on things, Jennifer will have an astronomical amount of medical bills , loss of work, as well as her mother being out of work to care for Jolena while she recovers . She has always done what it takes to provide , working full time , school , and even being go-go dancer on the side performing in local dance groups for extra money . She can no longer do that either under these conditions. One of her biggest fears even in the ICU prior to surgery , was surrounding her job , finances , medical bills and her recovery and how she would get through this alone .
Yet, She's never complained , or asked for help or gave up .
She is one of the strongest women I know . She even said to me on the phone before her surgery , barely able to speak " I'm happy to be alive and that my daughter is ok, and I can still move ,...it could have been alot worse "
I simply ask for your prayers that God looks over Jennifer , and Jolena during the healing process and that she has a full recovery , and to help support her during this time , anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated !
Sincerely ,
On behalf of myself, Jennifer and her friends and family .
Thank you
