We are asking for help for our family during an incredibly difficult time. Since October, my dad has been in various medical facilities after an endoscopy caused severe bleeding. Since then, he has faced one complication after another, including the need for a permanent colostomy and the development of a fistula that has not healed. He is currently in a nursing home, surviving on IV TPN, and has lost so much weight and muscle mass that he cannot walk on his own. He will eventually need surgery to correct the fistula, along with physical therapy to rebuild his strength.

My parents are senior citizens living on a very limited fixed income, and the financial strain has become overwhelming. The medical bills continue to pile up, while everyday expenses like housing, power, and water still need to be paid. On top of that, if my dad is able to return home, their house will need modifications to make it wheelchair and walker accessible. These funds will help relieve some of that burden so our family can focus on his care, recovery, and basic stability during this incredibly hard time.

My dad has always been a generous person, giving to others and supporting different charities whenever he could. Now, after months of setbacks, he wants nothing more than the chance to heal and hopefully return home.
