Jennifer Walker Darley, my niece, and her family are facing unimaginable hardship after their home was destroyed by fire early this morning. Jennifer has three children, and tragically, their beloved dogs were killed in the blaze. The family lost everything they own in a matter of moments. To make matters even more overwhelming, Jennifer’s daughter Sarah is in the hospital giving birth to her grandchild, while her other two children, ages 10 and 11, now have nothing left.

Jennifer is disabled and battles lupus, which means she is often in and out of the hospital herself. The funds raised will go directly toward temporary housing, covering any medical needs, and helping the family replace essentials like clothing, school supplies, and household items. Sarah, lives with her mother Jennifer, and the new baby doesn’t even have a place to come home to. The family’s vehicle was lost recently, leaving them with no transportation and no way to secure a hotel room or basic necessities.
