Help Jennifer with her battle with cancer

Our niece, Jennifer Bouchey who is 47 years old and also the daughter of Mahlon (Jake) and Debbie Bouchey was diagnosed in May of 2023 with Secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. She has been battling the MS and felt like the treatments had not been effective. To make matters worse on January 17th 2024, she was transferred to Albany Medical Center where she received devastating news. Jennifer is diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer Stage IV. Needless to say, the family is heartbroken.

Jennifer has been in gut wrenching pain and has required many transfusions and advanced medical care to get the pain under control. She was transferred back to Claxton Hepburn Medical Center to be closer to home as the added expense of travel, hotels and gas has been a burden on the family. The Doctors have been working to help get the pain manageable and to come up with a treatment plan for her.

Jennifer is a fighter with a strong will to continue on. She is now back home with her daughters, Chelsea and Zoe. She will be starting radiation and chemo to help slow the progression of the disease.

During this time, the family has endured significant financial burdens with the increased medical costs. Jennifer is in need of some medical supplies that the insurance will not cover such as a purwick system and other medical equipment and some additional private help in the home as local agencies are short staffed and the family is struggling to provide 24 hour care. Her mother, Debbie along with the two girls have been the main caregivers for her.

This has been a challenging time for the family and they would appreciate any support during this difficult time. Please send prayers to the family. We all love Jennifer and she wants to be here for as long as possible. She is a strong woman and with our support she will continue to fight this terrible disease. #FUCK CANCER!
