Hi, my name is Jennifer Graves, and I was somewhat recently diagnosed with HER2+ breast cancer. We caught it before it could metastasize, but regardless it has taken a big hit to my family and I's regular way of life. I am currently on chemo, and I have been trying to work while doing it, but the chemo is affecting me badly enough that I cannot work as much or as efficiently. My husband works as a caretaker for my father with Alzheimer's, but with five people in the household and my checks becoming smaller with my increased inability to work, it unfortunately is just not enough to keep us afloat.
I do not want to make this, and I am really saddened that I have to at all, but within about 6 weeks or so I will have to get a double mastectomy, and considering that will put me out of commission for quite a long while, I don't know how we will be able to afford any bills, medications, doctors appointments, when we already can't afford them right now. Insurance is paying for some of the surgery but it is unavoidable now that we need help. We have to put a down payment for the surgery as well, which is yet another thing to worry about. I am sorry I have to ask for help in this way, and I promise there will be regular updates of what bills I pay as well as my recovery. Thank you anyone who tries to help out.
