Help Single Mom, Jennifer Williams, Battle Cancer

Hi, My name is Stephanie Janz and I am a friend of Jennifer Williams. I have been friends with Jennifer since my son, Brody, and her daughter, Jordan, were in Kindergarten. Our family adores these two girls, as I know many of you do, and they are in need of our help.

As some of you may or may not know, Jennifer and Jordan recently moved to Florida from California in search of a better life. Shortly after moving, Jennifer started experiencing severe stomach bloating that did not go away. She went to the ER and CT scans showed 2 masses, one on her left kidney and the other on and around her ovary. Biopsies indicated they were cancer. She had surgery for a hysterectomy and kidney removal, however, once in the OR it became clear the ovarian cancer had spread to the spleen and gallbladder and needed to be removed as well. As it turned out, the kidney cancer was a completely separate type of cancer which definitely goes against the odds.

The family decided it was best for Jordan if she return to California to be with her dad while Jennifer stays in Florida for treatment, including chemotherapy. The mental, physical and emotional stress of fighting cancer is tough enough, and to add to it, there is the emotional strain of mother and daughter living across the country from one another. Jennifer and Jordan have always been attached at the hip.

The expense of this medical journey has become too much to bare for this single mom. Jennifer is self employed so if she doesn’t work, she doesn’t get paid. As long as I've known her, she has been an extremely hard-worker, always making ends meet for she and Jordan. Taking time off for surgery and recovery in addition to chemotherapy is keeping her from working and the medical bills are coming in fast and piling up.

Let's gather together as their friends and family and help take the financial burden off of these girls. Even if you don't know them but you feel for their situation, please give what you can.
