Jennifer is one of the kindest people I know. She volunteers at the local youth center, making sure kids have a safe place to go, and she never hesitates to help a stray animal or a person in need. Even when she has little, she gives what she can, whether it’s food, a warm place to stay, or just a listening ear. Eight years ago, Jennifer and her family lost everything due to addiction and the actions of others, but she fought hard to get clean and rebuild her life. She’s been free from opiates for nearly eight years now, and she’s worked so hard to give her kids a better future.
Now, Jennifer is facing one of the toughest challenges of her life. Her doctor believes she may have a serious muscular disease. She woke up one day to find her spine had started to curve, and over time, it’s only gotten worse. By the end of each day, she can barely walk and is in constant pain, but she rarely complains. I know her well enough to see how much she’s struggling, and I’m terrified that if she doesn’t get treatment soon, she could end up in a wheelchair. On top of her health crisis, Jennifer and her family just received a 14-day eviction notice. They’re behind on rent and bills, their lights are about to be shut off, and they can’t afford Christmas gifts for their kids. Their landlord has been patient, but time has run out, and they need help now more than ever.
Jennifer has always been there for others, but now she needs her community to be there for her. Your support can help her family keep their home, catch up on bills, and give their kids a Christmas to remember. Most importantly, it will give Jennifer the peace of mind she needs to focus on her health and get the treatment she desperately needs. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser. Every bit of help brings hope and stability to a family that truly deserves it.
